Not On Top Of My Mom-Game

Signs I may not be on top of my mom-game today:

"Mommy, help me, I need a band-aid."
"One second, I'm taping a cape to your brother's back."

"Mommy, can we play basketball?"
I'm envisioning myself lifting children all afternoon, I put a snowtire in the yard and tell them to have at it.

It's a wintry spring day, no one's out, but immediately my daughter needs to have a cookie sale.  By the sidewalk, she set up a little stool and stand.  I handed her a pack of cheese crackers and told her to call her brothers.

This morning, I had a doctor's appointment.
Doc said, "How are you feeling?"
I said, "I'm sick of myself."
She replied, "It's going around."
