A few holiday's ago, one of my husband's work clients gave a generous gift to many people at the company--a mound of games--board games. I've forgotten now the exact number, but to be conservative, I'll say fifty. Five zero. I really think it was closer to seventy-five.
That particular year, under our roof, we had three children under three and a half years of age. Game night anyone? We played games every minute of every day-but none of the ones gifted that season. We played familiar ones you may remember or may be playing now:
Objective(s)
-in ten charades or less-calm the screeching infant in the middle of the night. A buzzer will sound to let you know you've achieved this goal and won the game. *Note: win buzzer may startle and wake newborn.
-in five or more spoonful's-supply as many nutrients to an older baby before the "spill the beans" projectile.
*Bonus round: adult to avoid being hit by projectile nutrients (can be but not limited to pea/squash) wins one round of scrubbing it off the wall-easy.
**Double bonus-after projectile round-prove to opponent your third shirt of the day, your ear and for some reason your right sock are clear of pea/squash-advanced.
-in one hour or less get your toddler to pee on the potty chair when you want them to.
*note of disqualification-if the child on the potty sits over an hour and still pees their pants immediately after getting off the potty-adult player loses a turn.
Ahh, good times, we played those over and over and over. Fun. I can still hear the sobbing (and that was from me).
-Still to come:
Part two-one of my all time favorite "games," the rules are tough. It involves, a bubble gum dumdum, a swaddled baby, the side of a 1932 upright, and an ambulance--
LOL..... I remember those days Well!! even though it was over 30 years ago! You nailed it.... ahhhh still so fresh in your memory.. : )
